Permaculture Principles
When Bill Mollison and David Holmgren coined the term permaculture in the 1970s, they created a set of principles by which practioners would design.  Since then, others have put the principles into their own words. We've done this ourselves, and for reference, provided a side by side comparison of principles, from Mollison, Holmgren, Hemenway, and Starhawk. We ask students, as an exercize, to write the principles in their own words, that in doing so, they may better digest and realize the meaning of the principles and their potential to create permanent solutions to myriad  dilemmas across cultures.
